Hudson Technologies Hires Riyaz Papar to Spearhead Commercial Deployment of Performance Monitoring & Optimization

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Hudson Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: HDSN), a leading refrigerant services company specializing in proprietary on-site decontamination services for large comfort, process cooling and industrial refrigeration systems, today announced that Riyaz Papar, PE, CEM has joined the Company as Director of Energy Assets and Optimization.
Mr. Papar, who previously served as a consultant to Hudson, has over 12 years of experience as an energy engineer and independent energy consultant, working with such diverse companies as Energy Concepts Company, Del Monte Foods, Consolidated Edison and Enron Energy Services.
During his career, he has also worked with a wide array of government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Energy, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory on increasing the efficiency of industrial energy systems and BestPractices. Notably, Mr. Papar is recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy as a Qualified "BestPractices" Steam Tools Specialist and is one of a handful of people designated as a U.S. Department of Energy qualified Steam End User Training Instructor.

Mr. Papar has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, where he specialized in Refrigerants and Energy Systems. He currently serves as a voting member ASHRAE's TC1.10 (Cogeneration), TC1.11 (Electric Motors & Control) & TC8.2 (Centrifugal Machines). Mr. Papar was also the past Chair of the Process Industries Division of the ASME and is currently a Member of the Nominating Committee of the ASME.
