Second EL AL Aircraft Filled with North Americans Immigrating to Israel on EL AL Airlines: Total of 1,500 Sets News Record

ALERT:      The second of three jumbo jets filled with North Americans
            immigrating to Israel will carry 230 passengers including,
            88 children under the age of 12 years. Five dogs will also
            become Israeli citizens. The youngest person traveling on
            this flight is 2 months and the oldest is 65 years of age.
            The coordinator of the project is the Nefesh B'Nefesh
            organization (www.nefeshbnefesh.org), working in close
            cooperation with the Jewish Agency for Israel. The
            initiative is endorsed by the United Jewish Communities
            (UJC) and the three primary streams of Judaism - Orthodox,
            Reform and Conservative.


WHEN:       Tuesday, August 3rd
            11:30a.m.--departure ceremony and pre-flight media
            briefing
            2:35p.m.--EL AL flight #3022 departs

WHERE:      Terminal #4, JFK Airport
            Red Carpet Area (near the EL AL check-in area)

WHAT:       Israeli officials as well as EL AL Vice President and
            General Manager of North & Central America, Nira Dror will
            speak at the JFK departure ceremony.

            In Israel, Vice Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Education
            Minister Limor Livnat, Knesset Aliya Committee Chair
            Colette Avital, Jewish Agency Leaders, EL AL officials and
            others will be on hand to welcome the new- comers at Ben
            Gurion Airport when the EL AL flight arrives August 4th.
            On the outside of the aircraft, EL AL has embossed the
            logos of Nefesh B'Nefesh and the Jewish Agency.
