Using SeeChain, the BorgWarner Cadillac Michigan Operation monitors key performance indicators across three production shifts to identify specific components of its manufacturing process that are creating bottlenecks or slowing down output. These include machine operator productivity, tool changeovers, quality control checks, equipment maintenance, and more. By collecting and standardizing data from plant operational systems, SeeChain presents a single view of performance metrics and which areas need improvement.

"To achieve our productivity objectives, we need to understand how we are performing at each step of the manufacturing process and be able to compare and correlate this data within the same production shift and across shifts," said Todd Bennington, Plant Manager for BorgWarner's Cadillac Michigan Operation. "SeeChain enables us to easily collect data from separate operational systems and precisely identify performance exceptions and root cause information so we can take corrective actions to eliminate inefficiencies. By providing a standardized view into plant-wide operational performance, SeeChain also makes it easier to make operational adjustments that affect more than one manufacturing process."

"SeeChain is providing the BorgWarner Cadillac Operation immediate and measurable results by creating a closed loop solution for isolating, understanding, and fixing operational inefficiencies across its complex multi-product manufacturing processes," said John Ferraro, chief executive officer for SeeCommerce. "This deployment is further validation of the value SeeCommerce provides for manufacturers."
