Insight North America ("Insight"), a subsidiary of Insight Enterprises Inc. (Nasdaq: NSIT), today announced that its small- and medium-business division in the United States has achieved the VPN/Security Technology Specialization from Cisco Systems(R). This specialization recognizes Insight for having acquired the ability to plan, design, implement, and operate Cisco(R) VPN (virtual private network) and Security solutions.

"As the network continues to be a mission-critical business system for organizations of all sizes, securing information assets and minimizing the impact of viruses and worms is a top priority for customers. This represents excellent growth opportunities for our Cisco Channel partners," said Surinder Brar, senior director of Worldwide Channels Marketing for Cisco Systems. "Our VPN/Security Technology Specialized partners like Insight have the training and knowledge to deliver comprehensive network security solutions to address all of their customers' needs -- from small and medium-sized business to enterprise customers."

"Our customers are seeing more security threats to their business than ever before," said David Casillo, senior vice president product management. "This certification is in addition to the Cisco Gold Certified Partner status and VPN/Security Technology Specialization already held by Insight's corporate and public sector sales divisions, and further supports our ability to be a single-source provider of IT products and services to our customers. Our certified experts have the knowledge and experience to design, architect and deploy security solutions that give our customers the protection their businesses require."

To achieve the VPN/Security Technology Specialization, Insight had to fill the following job roles with individuals who have met specific testing requirements: an account manager, responsible for the sales methodology of the Cisco VPN/Security solutions; a systems engineer, responsible for the network planning and design; and a field engineer, responsible for the implementation and support of the Cisco VPN/Security solution.
