ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 14, 2004
Supply chain software provider Viewlocity, Inc. today announced that Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines (WWL), the global specialist in ocean, inland, and supply chain solutions, has selected Viewlocity for its world-wide visibility and supply chain event management software needs. The agreement marks an expansion of the Viewlocity-WWL relationship and builds off of a successful project in Australia.
The software will be employed to provide visibility and event management capabilities to WWL's global automotive customers, across finished vehicle distribution processes. Expected benefits include faster and more accurate distribution of vehicles, allowing WWL to capture market share.
"The experience that Wallenius Wilhelmsen has gained working with Viewlocity and its products in Australia was a key consideration in our decision to make an additional investment in the Viewlocity solution," said Mark Hope, vice president at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. "Their SCEM solution provides the robust visibility into activities surrounding orders, shipments and inventory demanded by our major automotive OEM customers both within and outside of Europe."
"This is a great opportunity for Viewlocity to extend its partnership with Wallenius Wilhelmsen. The successful Australian SCEM implementation has formed the basis for a strong relationship between the two companies and we are pleased to have them as a global customer," said Peter Klein, vice president of Viewlocity Europe.
