WatchGuard Partners with Top Chinese University to Establish Information Security Laboratory

Strategic alliance with Shanghai Jiao Tong University designed to

promote the development of information security in China

WatchGuard Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:WGRD) and the School of Information Security Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) today announced that they have signed an agreement to establish The Shanghai Jiao Tong-WatchGuard Information Security Laboratory in Shanghai.

Under the terms of the agreement, WatchGuard and SJTU will work together to promote the adoption of information security in China through development and delivery of university-level courseware, certification and training programs, and the creation of a world-class information security laboratory on campus. In addition, the two organizations will collaborate on seminars and other on- and off-campus events to foster information security education and initiatives among the academia as well as within the commercial sector.

It will be open to all SJTU undergraduate and graduate students studying the fields of information security or related information technology areas, as well as to selected industry professionals.
