Intermodal & Trucking Veteran Val Noel Named President of Pacer Cartage

Pacer International, Inc. (Nasdaq:PACR), the non-asset based North American third-party logistics and freight transportation provider, today announced that Val T. Noel has joined the company as president of Pacer Cartage, Pacer's local trucking business unit.
Noel brings to Pacer more than 20 years of experience in intermodal and trucking operations, having held a number of key commercial and operating positions for CSX Intermodal (CSXI) and its predecessor companies, including, most recently, CSXI president.
Pacer Cartage is part of Pacer International's wholesale segment, which also includes Pacer Stacktrain. This segment provides double-stack rail and related transportation services, including cartage, for containerized freight.

It may involve transfer to or from a port or a railhead, or from a freight-handling facility to a retail outlet or other customer destination.
