Quatech Developing Complete Line of RFID Readers for Mobile and Stationary Applications

HUDSON, Ohio -- New Line Leverages Quatech Connectivity Expertise and Leading-Edge RFID Technology from SkyeTek
Quatech, Inc., a leading supplier of data connectivity solutions, announced its plans to develop a complete line of RFID readers for a variety of computing environments, including mobile and stationary applications. Implemented with advanced SkyeTek RFID reader modules, these new devices will deliver the best in RFID technology coupled with the proven reliability of Quatech connectivity products.

In addition, the company will produce wired and wireless network-enabled devices. In conjunction with SkyeTek, the company displayed its first prototype--a network-enabled RFID reader that can be remotely accessed and controlled via Ethernet--at the RFID World conference in Denver, CO last April. Products are scheduled for release Q4 2004.
