Latest applications feature enhanced collaboration and workflow

and superior content maintenance functionality

Pragmatech Software, Inc., the leading provider of sales productivity applications, today announced the release of the latest version of its award-winning applications, The RFP Machine(R), RFP Express(R), The Proposal Automation Suite(TM), and e-Proposals(TM). The company's solutions automate the creation of high-quality, customized selling materials, including proposals, presentations, letters, and RFP (request for proposal) responses, saving time and increasing revenues for field sales forces and centralized proposal groups.

"Version 6 directly addresses the expressed knowledge and content management needs of our customers in corporate sales, marketing, and proposal teams," said Al Noyes, CEO, Pragmatech Software, Inc. "Our latest solutions meet the needs of our enterprise clients, with enhanced scalability and security and more powerful project management capabilities, ensuring that sales forces are further empowered to efficiently deliver effective proposals and other selling documents to their customers."

Key Version 6 enhancements include:

Streamlined Collaboration: Leveraging email-based workflow via Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, Version 6 simplifies the process of distributing questions to and gathering answers from document contributors. The RFP Machine(R) and RFP Express(R) enable quick assignment and automated distribution of RFP questions to the appropriate document contributors, track and monitor their responses, automatically integrate those answers back into a master RFP response document, and update The RFP Tracking System(TM) with important collaboration details. Document contributors receive questions via email and provide responses directly within Microsoft Word; there is no need for them to install or learn a new application. With Version 6, proposal managers and sales teams can further reduce the time spent managing the proposal process and focus on improving the quality of RFP responses to gain a competitive advantage.

"Experian builds and maintains successful relationships with our customers by using unsurpassed data, knowledge, and expertise. Pragmatech's superior proposal management solutions parallel our initiatives to establish and preserve the needs of our extensive client base," said Kelli Stephenson, Manager, Proposal Resource Center, Experian. "The new collaboration and content maintenance functionalities will help us further reduce the turnaround time for RFPs."

Content Maintenance: Version 6 also includes additional automated functions for keeping content current, resulting in more accurate and compelling content in the knowledge base. With new content maintenance features, Knowledge Managers can quickly distribute content for update to the relevant reviewers, evaluate and edit the revisions, and automatically merge them into the knowledge base. This function leverages the new email-based workflow to accelerate the content maintenance process.

"A key component of the sales effectiveness process is the ability to get access to the right information at the right time. Version 6 strategically channels information to and from the entire document creation team, from centralized authoring groups to salespeople in the field," said Sheryl Kingstone, Program Manager, CRM Strategies for the Yankee Group. "The advanced collaboration and analytic capabilities provided by Pragmatech's latest release leverage the continuously managed and updated content within the knowledge base to generate superior and comprehensive communications that exceed the expectations of customers and help win business."

Enterprise-level Enhancements to e-Proposals(TM) Server: Pragmatech's e-Proposals(TM) server provides field sales and other geographically distributed end-users with secure, scalable web access to easy-to-use proposal and presentation creation applications. The Version 6 release of the e-Proposals server adds more options to meet the demands of large enterprises in the areas of availability, redundancy, scalability, and system management.

Pragmatech now offers additional configuration flexibility with support for clustering multiple e-Proposals servers in parallel implementations, as well as for clustering document assembly servers. With these enhancements, the system can scale to handle high loads and meet the availability and redundancy requirements of large enterprises. Version 6 also adds new queue management features and server logging options with remote monitoring capabilities.

"PeopleSoft initially implemented Pragmatech's solutions over 5 years ago, and we expect this latest upgrade will significantly enhance the consistency and timely responses of our RFPs," said Frank Kisslinger, National Manager, PeopleSoft. "It is imperative that the information provided in customer-facing documents go through all the proper channels and receive approval for accuracy, timeliness of information and appropriate content. Version 6 captures these and a number of other key best practices. "
