USC Marshall School of Business MBA.PM Students Elect New Association of Graduate Business Students Executive Board; Eric Wein Chosen for President

LOS ANGELES -- The Association of Graduate Business Students at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business announced today that the MBA for Professionals and Managers program (MBA.PM) student body has elected a new executive board for the 2004-2005 academic year. The AGBS.PM executive board, which begins its one-year term this month, is the evening MBA program student governing body.
Eric Wein, a third-year Marketing/Management student, will serve as the President for the 2004-2005 year. Other members elected to the AGBS.PM executive board are: Elyse Klein (Treasurer); Amanda Thompson and Betty Naderi (Co-Vice Presidents of Philanthropy); Svetlana Moshkovich and Theresa Osburn (Co-Vice Presidents of Professional Development); Brooke McLean and Matt Anderson (Co-Vice Presidents of New Student Orientation); Mark Skarulis and Sonya Snyder (Co-Vice Presidents of Event Planning); Kirsten Wattson and Teresa Hoover (Co-Vice Presidents of Marshall Merchandise); and Lori Chan and Marina Myslivec (Co-Vice Presidents of Communications and Information Technology).
Wein will lead the AGBS.PM board in the creation and implementation of strategies to enhance the MBA.PM student experience. In addition, he will serve as the primary MBA.PM student liaison to faculty and staff.

Wein, who served on the executive board last year as the Vice President of Communications and Information Technology, is currently employed full time as a Senior Account Executive at Edelman, a global public relations firm. A native of Northridge, Calif., Wein received his bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Arizona.

--Elyse Klein (Treasurer), who previously served on the AGBS.PM executive board as the Co-Vice President of Marshall Merchandise, will be focused on the task of keeping the student government's finances balanced, and helping allocate money for professional and social events throughout the year. Klein received her bachelor's degree in Business from California State University Northridge and works as a Special Projects Manager at William O'Neil & Co, Inc.
--Amanda Thompson and Betty Naderi (Co-Vice Presidents of Philanthropy) will focus on increasing the scope and participation in Challenge for Charity, an inter-MBA program charity contest. They will also lead student volunteer efforts in association with Junior Achievement, a program that enables business professionals to give brief basic lectures to elementary school students. Thompson and Naderi will also lead MBA.PM students in other philanthropic activities. Thompson, a Marketing Specialist for Whole Foods Market, received her bachelor's degree in Communications from Trinity University. Naderi is a Marketing Manager for Herbalife and received her bachelor's degree in Communications from UCLA.
--Svetlana Moshkovich and Theresa Osburn (Co-Vice Presidents of Professional Development) will focus on improving MBA.PM student awareness and participation in the Marshall School of Business Career Resource Center programs, as well as organizing professional networking events among students, alumni and business leaders. Moshkovich, a Business Analyst at the Boeing Co., received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration at USC. Osburn, who also received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration at USC, is currently a Senior Associate at Merrill Lynch.
--Brooke McLean and Matt Anderson (Co-Vice Presidents of New Student Orientation) are focused on setting a tone for excellence with the incoming class by implementing orientation sessions and other activities for new students. McLean has a BS in Management from United States Air Force Academy and works as a Finance Officer in the United States Air Force. Anderson received his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and is currently employed by General Electric as Vice President of Underwriting and Account Management.
--Mark Skarulis and Sonya Snyder (Co-Vice Presidents of Event Planning) are charged with organizing a wide range of events to provide both social and professional networking opportunities for MBA.PM students. Skarulis, a Project Manager at Siemens, received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Snyder, a Marketing Manager at TBG Financial, received her bachelor's degree in English at North Carolina State University.
--Kirsten Wattson and Teresa Hoover (Co-Vice Presidents of Marshall Merchandise) are set with the task of improving Marshall clothing ("Marshall Wear") style and selection, and making Marshall Wear more accessible for purchasing. Wattson is currently a Pricing Analyst at Northrop Grumman and received bachelor's degrees in French and Economics at Vanderbilt University. Hoover is a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep for Mission Pharmacal and holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame.
