IMD MBA Program Ranked First in Europe

LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- IMD's MBA program ranked first among all business schools in Europe by business publication Junge Karriere, a subsidiary of German business newspaper Handelsblatt. The ranking was based on a survey of the 50 largest European business schools. IMD also ranked first on performance and image.
For 2004, Europe's top MBA programs as ranked by Junge Karriere were:
1. IMD 6. University of Oxford - Said
Business School
2. Insead 7. Cass Business School, London
3. London Business School 8. Esade, Barcelona
4. Warwick Business School, Coventry 9. Manchester Business School
5. Rotterdam School of Management 10. Universitat Mannheim
The survey's rankings were based on the following criteria:
--Performance, including the international composition of the MBA program, participant qualifications/average GMAT score, participant work experience, faculty/participant ratio.
--Price/performance ratio, derived by comparing the MBA program's cost to its performance score.
--Image, determined by a peer ranking based on the question: "Which European business schools do you respect?"
