Infodata Selected as an Enterprise Content Management Solutions Partner; Building eDOCs System for American Red Cross Biomedical Services
Business Wire, June 23, 2004
HERNDON, Va. -- Infodata Systems (OTCBB:INFD), a leader in IT solutions for content management, announced it has been awarded a contract by American Red Cross Biomedical Services to build their electronic document management system, eDOCs. The eDOCs system will manage the lifecycle of controlled documents and will be deployed throughout regional offices. The eDOCs system will combine out-of-the-box functionality along with Infodata's Content Management Services Layer (CMSL) to deliver specialized functionality that will satisfy the project goals of compliance with FDA regulations, automation of complex business processes, and continuity across distributed offices.
The eDOCs system will be deployed using Documentum's, a division of EMC Corporation, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) environment with Infodata products operating within the content management services layer to provide improved content review, assembly, and publishing activities. AnnoDoc, Infodata's market-leading annotation product, will allow the content review activities to occur while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations.
"Delivering compliance-driven enterprise content management solutions is an ever increasing market need," said Edwin Miller, president and CEO of Infodata Systems. "Our clients have specific needs for functionality that addresses how content is authored, reviewed, assembled and published, distributed, secured and tracked and how processes around these activities can be automated while being in compliance with regulations. These are the critical areas we address within the CMSL, so we can translate their centralization and compliance-driven needs into the proper technology implementation that will ensure highly effective document management within the eDOCs system."
