Orbit International Corp. Receives New Military Order For $700,000; Company Sees Strong Operating Results Continuing in 2004

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT), a supplier of military and defense electronics, today announced that it has received an order in excess of $700,000 from Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT) for the design, development and production of a Control Display Unit (CDU) in support of the Chaparral Program. Deliveries under this contract are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2004 and continue through the second quarter of 2005.
The contract calls for the design of a new state-of-the-art color liquid crystal display (LCD) unit that will be designed for Lockheed for the Chaparral program and future Foreign Military Sale program opportunities. The Chaparral program is a mobile air defense system with a turret mounted on a tracked vehicle carrying ready-to-fire missiles.

Orbit International Corp., based in Hauppauge, New York, is involved in the manufacture of customized electronic components and subsystems for military and nonmilitary government applications. Its Behlman Electronics, Inc. subsidiary manufactures and sells high quality commercial power units and low noise uninterruptable power supplies (UPS).
