Premier Provider of Guaranteed Overnight Freight Transport Elevates Customer Service with Nuasis IP Contact Center
Business Wire, June 24, 2004
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Kitty Hawk Cargo Chooses Pure IP Multimedia Capabilities for Improved Customer Service, Picks Nuasis over Aspect, Cisco, Nortel and Genesys
Nuasis(TM) Corporation, the IP contact center company, today announced that Kitty Hawk Cargo, a division of Kitty Hawk, Inc. (OTCBB:KTHK), the premier provider of guaranteed, mission-critical, scheduled overnight freight transportation, has selected the Nuasis Pure IP NuContact Center for its contact center operation in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Kitty Hawk will use the Nuasis NuContact Center as its primary point of contact in its Fort Wayne customer service center, which is responsible for all flight bookings, cargo tracking and billing. The Nuasis NuContact Center is designed to dramatically improve customer service by replacing the one-dimensional customer interface of old-line systems with multimedia capabilities that offer customers a range of options for getting what they need from a company -- answers and assistance via phone, email or web chats.
"We knew that we wanted to switch to an IP contact center for greater efficiency, excellent customer service and to synchronize our contact center operations. We just needed to find the right solution partner. With Nuasis, we'll have a multimedia customer contact management solution that will provide state-of-the-art features and architecture that will take our customer service to a new level," said Frank Kaiser, director of the Kitty Hawk call center. "Nuasis is the only vendor with a single platform system that will operate on our existing corporate data network -- you can't get any more efficient than a single platform, single network solution."
Nuasis received the contract to work with Kitty Hawk after competing against Aspect Communications, Cisco Systems, Inc., Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc., Interactive Intelligence, Inc. and Nortel Networks Corporation for the business.
Kitty Hawk operates and maintains 20 Boeing 727 freighters and serves nearly 60 cities in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. With more than 30 years' experience in the aviation and air freight industries, Kitty Hawk plays a key connecting role in the global supply chain. Kitty Hawk serves the logistics needs of more than 1,500 freight forwarders, integrated carriers and major airlines, using its ground truck-network as well as a 239,000 square-foot cargo warehouse, US Customs clearance and sort facility at its Fort Wayne, Indiana hub. Kitty Hawk is the North American launch customer for the Boeing 737-300SF aircraft. First deliveries will begin later this year.
