Procurecard Standardizes on Siebel CRM OnDemand; UK Spend Management Service Uses Hosted CRM Solution to Create Unified View of Customers, Partners, and Suppliers
Business Wire, June 29, 2004
SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEBL), a leading provider of business applications software, today announced that Procurecard, a UK-based spend management service, has standardized on Siebel CRM OnDemand. The company is using Siebel Systems' hosted CRM solution to create a unified, multichannel view of its customers, partners, and suppliers that will allow the organization to maximize the value of these relationships.
Procurecard is a service that helps increase the profitability of thousands of UK companies by combining their buying power to negotiate rebates with preferred suppliers of a wide range of goods and services. Customers receive a monthly cash rebate of up to 10 percent of the value of purchases made across categories such as stationery and office supplies, printing, and electricity. Procurecard is marketed through "issuers" -- organizations, such as accounting firms and private equity groups, that serve business customers.
"Siebel CRM OnDemand will help Procurecard manage its business more efficiently," said David Brown, Founder, Procurecard. "The solution provides a single, integrated view of customers, partners, and suppliers, to whom we will be able to deliver a higher level of service, benefiting all parties involved."
Siebel CRM OnDemand will also be accessible by suppliers and issuers, which manage customer relationships. Automatic sales forecasting, real-time pipeline and opportunity management, and Microsoft Outlook(TM) synchronization will enable Procurecard and issuers to segment, target, and acquire new customers, as well as manage relationships with existing ones. Service request management, activity management, and an integrated knowledge base will facilitate consistent, personalized interactions with customers, issuers, and suppliers across all channels.
Procurecard is the latest in a growing number of organizations to deploy Siebel CRM OnDemand. Following its European launch in April 2004, Siebel CRM OnDemand is experiencing early adoption in the UK, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, Nordics, Russia, and The Czech Republic.
With Siebel CRM OnDemand's support for English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German languages, European companies can now take advantage of Siebel Systems' proven CRM capabilities provided by a hosted solution that enables companies to sell to, market to, and serve customers in their native languages. Siebel CRM OnDemand is the industry's first and only hosted CRM solution designed to work in conjunction with "on premise" Siebel CRM systems. Sharing a common data model with Siebel 7 applications, Siebel CRM OnDemand offers an easy migration path to on premise Siebel CRM systems.
