EarthLink V.P. of Corporate Strategy Accepts Seat on Ambient Corporation Advisory Board; EarthLink Working with Ambient to Enhance Existing Pilot and Develop New Projects

NEWTON, Mass. -- Ambient Corporation (OTCBB: ABTG), a leader in Power Line Communications (PLC) technology, announced today that Stephen Howe, Vice President of Corporate Strategy at EarthLink, (NASDAQ: ELNK) one of the nation's leading Internet service providers (ISP), has accepted a seat on Ambient's Advisory Board.
Mr. Howe is responsible for corporate strategy development at EarthLink, overseeing EarthLink's development of the next generation of broadband technologies such as Power Line Communications (PLC). Ambient's Advisory Board provides its executives with counsel in several areas such as government policy, international relations, utility engineering and law.

EarthLink is working with Ambient in enhancing the broadband aspect of an existing pilot in Westchester County, NY. Along with Consolidated Edison (NYSE: ED), EarthLink and Ambient also have PLC projects set to commence later this year. Further details of these projects will be forthcoming.
