Priceline.com Releases List of Top 50 Destinations For July 4th Weekend 2004; Newcomers to the list include Lake Tahoe, Hyannis and Cape May

NORWALK, Conn. -- A word of advice to travelers heading to the beach this 4th of July - arrive early and leave plenty of extra travel time. According to priceline.com's latest survey of the top 50 destinations for the 4th, beach and water destinations took up nearly half the list. The lure of sun and sand was so strong that several destinations made the priceline.com list for their first time, including Lake Tahoe, Hyannis, Cape May and South Padre Island. Also, San Diego's coastal area topped the July 4th priceline.com list.
Priceline.com's Top 50 list is based on more than 30,000 actual hotel room booking requests made for the July 3-5, 2004 weekend.
