of Digital Media Powerhouse
Pixel Magic Imaging (Pixel Magic), a leader in digital imaging solutions and photo kiosks, announced it is receiving a substantial investment from Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. (DNP) (TSE:7912) and Altech ADS Co. Ltd. (Altech) (TSE:9972). With this investment, Pixel Magic has solidified a strategic partnership with these two global suppliers.
"DNP and Altech are making this investment to ensure that Pixel Magic remains agile and further extends their capabilities to meet the rapidly growing needs of customers and consumers around the world." said Shigeru Kashiwabara, general manager of Information Media Supplies Operations, DNP. "This will help DNP to further strengthen our position as the world's leading supplier of dye sublimation printing media."
"Pixel Magic will continue to do what we do best," stated Chief Executive Officer George Briggs. "We'll continue to provide true open-architecture privately branded kiosk solutions -- except that now we have the full strategic and financial resources of two multi-national companies with combined annual revenues of nearly $13 billion."
In addition to serving its U.S. customers, Pixel Magic exports its entire line of imaging solutions into Europe and anticipates, with this new relationship, its reach will soon extend into Asia and beyond.
Pixel Magic was honored to receive the Digital Imaging Marketing Association's award for the top Stand-Alone Photo Kiosk at the 2004 Photo Marketing Association Convention recently held in Las Vegas, Nev.
Pixel Magic Imaging's line of photo kiosks include several new benefits introduced at the PMA show including cameraphone printing, Print2Store(tm) capability, which allows consumers to order prints online and have them printed at their local retail store, and Pixel Perfect Pictures(tm) -- a combination of improved software, printing and media technologies that together drastically and automatically improve image quality.
Pixel Magic's photo kiosks can print at speeds up to 5.5 seconds per print, and the company's One Touch Digital Printing(tm) workflow -- which provides digital prints with the touch of a single button -- automatically corrects exposure defects and eliminates red-eye.
