Business Wire, June 30, 2004
SAN DIEGO SAN DIEGO -- New Automation Module Offers Rodopi Customers an Interface to Register.com's Domain Name Registration and Value Added Services
Rodopi Software, an industry leader in new generation operations support system (OSS) and back office automation software, announced today the availability of a new domain name registration module for the Rodopi OSS and EasyOSS(TM) Web based IP service automation products. The new module is integrated with registration services offered by Register.com(R) Inc. (NASDAQ:RCOM), a leading provider of global domain name registration and Internet services, and will enable automated domain name registration, transfer and renewal for Rodopi Internet, web-hosting and Voice-over-IP (VoIP) customers. The two companies will partner to make the new services and automation available to existing and prospective Rodopi service provider customers. Rodopi customers with domain name automation modules will be able to register new domain names, transfer existing registrations, set automatic renewals, and manage expiration and domain deletions.
An additional component of the partnership enables Rodopi to offer Register.com's secure sockets layer (SSL) certificates to Rodopi EasyOSS(TM) hosted back office OSS customers, providing secured online transactions for processing credit cards. EasyOSS is Rodopi's newly announced 100 percent hosted back office automation application - the first software of its kind on the market today.
"The combination of Register.com and Rodopi offers a win-win for customers by applying Rodopi's unmatched automation features to the reliability and quality that the market has come to expect from Register.com," said Todd Benjamin, president and CEO of Rodopi Software. "We've got customers now who have been asking for an automated connection to domain registration, and the SSL products will provide one-stop shopping for our EasyOSS hosted service providers."
"With Rodopi's new automated interface tool, we can offer our services to Rodopi's customer base, while allowing them to take the guess work out of creating and fully managing their domain names," said Michael Rupolo, Register.com's Director, Global Partner Network.
