PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2004

Logidex Becomes Only Solution to Provide Visual Models

for Supporting the Efficient Reuse of Software Assets

Across Government Agencies

LogicLibrary(R), the leading provider of software asset management tools, today announced the introduction of reference models to support the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA). By enabling individual assets to be easily managed and cross-referenced to FEA reference models, Logidex(TM) users will have a more effective way to comply with architectural requirements and speed development, while lowering the costs associated with software management.

Established in February 2002, the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office (FEA-PMO) is a comprehensive effort to improve constituent service at reduced cost. The FEA is being constructed through a collection of interrelated reference models designed to facilitate analysis and collaboration within and across federal agencies. New Logidex features will include FEA reference model search and taxonomy for assets; a federated architecture that allows asset repositories to be easily aggregated as needed; and secure workflows for publishing and acquiring software assets.

"LogicLibrary will help the federal government with its mission to use technology to make agencies more citizen-centered, results-oriented and market-based," said Greg Coticchia, CEO of LogicLibrary. "With direct support for preloaded FEA Reference Models, Logidex will enable effective collaboration, distribution, management and reuse of software assets across government agencies, project teams and technology systems."

Logidex will support the following FEA models:

-- Business Reference Model (BRM) version 2.0 provides an

organized view of the day-to-day business operations of the

federal government's many lines of business and corresponding

sub-functions. By describing the federal government's

operations according to common business areas instead of by

agency, the BRM promotes collaboration across agencies.

-- Service Component Reference Model (SRM) version 1.0 supports

the reuse of applications, components and business services.

The SRM classifies service components relative to how they

support business and performance objectives.

-- Technical Reference Model (TRM) version 1.1 provides a

foundation for the reuse of technology and component services

throughout the federal government. The TRM includes the

standards, specifications and technologies to support the

business and application components that are used in

component-based or service-oriented architectures.

Logidex is the industry's premier collaborative software development asset (SDA) management solution for simplifying the creation, migration and integration of enterprise applications. Logidex is the only software asset management product that features tight integration with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, IBM WebSphere Studio, IBM Rational XDE and Eclipse. Along with the unrivaled flexibility and cost savings it brings to development, integration and service-oriented architecture projects, LogicLibrary is also the only SDA management solution that offers federated library support, model-based searching, out-of-the-box assets, a checklist for open source license compliance, measurements and metrics--all within .NET and J2EE development environments.
