HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2004

FSV Payment Systems Ltd announced today that it had just been added to Visa U.S.A. Inc.'s List of CISP Compliant Service Providers.

The Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) establishes a set of twelve industry-wide requirements designed to protect sensitive information. Being added to Visa's list of CISP compliant service providers demonstrates FSV's commitment to protecting the confidentiality and integrity of cardholder data and personal data used to make purchases from merchants using the FSV payment gateway.

"We are dedicated to providing the highest level of security possible to our clients and cardholders," said Eric Miller, chief executive officer at FSV. "Achieving compliance with the Visa U.S.A. Cardholder Information Security Program demonstrates that we have satisfied all of their requirements designed to protect our cardholders' private, personal data."

The twelve requirements of Visa's CISP include such security mainstays as installing and maintaining working firewalls to protect data, keeping security patches up-to-date, protecting stored data, encrypting data sent across public networks, using and regularly updating anti-virus software, restricting access by "need to know," assigning unique IDs to each person with computer access, excluding vendor-supplied defaults for passwords and security parameters, tracking all access to data by unique ID, regularly testing security systems and processes, implementing and maintaining an information security policy and restricting physical access to data.

Compliance status is for one year, renewable depending on a company's meeting of all twelve requirements at the revalidation due date.

"Yearly revalidation just keeps everyone on their toes," continued Miller. "It should not be a problem when a company establishes high standards and then holds itself accountable to those standards, as is the case with FSV."
