New DLP Projectors Deliver Advanced Presentation Options for
Professionals and Educators
Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD) today introduced the T90 projector series that delivers a wide variety of presentation options to mobile professionals, corporate users, educators and small- to medium-business owners. The new series consists of three models - the TDP-T90U, TDP-TW90U and TDP-T91U - that are based on a DLP technology platform, and offer advanced features including wireless capabilities and detachable document cameras to deliver high performance and flexibility for any presentation environment.
"Our customers have diverse projection needs. From connecting wirelessly to incorporating 3D objects, the T90 projector series provides customers with a choice of three high-performance projectors that deliver the versatility they demand," said Alex Ijuin, assistant general manager for Toshiba DPD's Projector Business Unit. "Designed for the classroom, courtroom or boardroom, Toshiba's new high-performance projectors offer our customers high-end features, at a price that fits into their budget."
Each of the new projectors are based on the TDP-T90U format, displaying 2,000 ANSI lumens, native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and 2000:1 contrast ratio to deliver the clarity and power to overcome even the most unforgiving lighting situations. Additionally, the TDP-TW90U features wireless functionality, and the TDP-T91U includes a detachable document camera to provide customers with a full range of projection options to suit their specific presentation needs.
The integrated wireless capabilities included with the TDP-TW90U allow customers to enjoy a faster set-up time by eliminating the hassle of connecting additional cords or cables - simply turn the unit on and it's ready to go. Also, by switching out the wireless card with a type II storage device, the TDP-TW90U can be turned into an all-in-one presentation device without the need for a PC or notebook computer.
The detachable document camera on the TDP-T91U offers users flexibility and convenience. Presenters can easily unclip the camera from the projector and place it almost anywhere to incorporate 3D objects and hard-copy material into their presentations. Also, by supporting the presentation qualities of a high-performance projector and the imaging capabilities of a document camera in a single unit, the TDP-T91U saves users from having to purchase and travel with a second piece of equipment.
Toshiba's T90 projector series comes complete with a host of multimedia capabilities and connectivity options, including three video input sources for users to enhance their presentations by adding video clips or movies from their TV, DVD or VCR. The new projectors also include audio in/out capabilities, so users can connect three different audio sources at once to heighten their listening experience, and a special monitor output connector allowing presenters to view their content from an external display. Especially important for educators, the monitor output capabilities allow instructors to keep eye contact with students at all times - no need to turn around to look at what's being projected on the screen. The projectors also include a one-touch auto set button, fully loaded remote control and automatic keystone correction to ensure professional presentations with minimal set-up time.
Pricing and Availability
The Toshiba T90 projector series will be available mid-June and is priced at $1,899 ESP(b) for the TDP-T90U and $2,099 ESP(b) for the TDP-TW90U and TDP-T91U. All three projectors come standard with a two-year limited warranty and portable carrying case. Toshiba's full line of projectors are available through Toshiba's enterprise sales team and authorized distributors, dealers, VARs, retailers, mail-order outlets and at www.toshibadirect.com.
