Thrivent Financial's James H. Krueger Named GAMA International's 55th President

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 2004

James H. Krueger, managing partner of the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Financial Office of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, has been named president of GAMA International, a worldwide association serving the professional development needs of management in the insurance and financial services industry. His term began June 1.

GAMA International serves 5,000 field leaders in the industry and provides a variety of professional development and educational resources.

Krueger began his career as a campus agent with Provident Mutual while attending the University of Wisconsin in 1964. He later joined Aid Association for Lutherans, which merged with Lutheran Brotherhood to become Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in 2001. Krueger has worked in the insurance and financial services industry since 1965 and has been involved with GAMA International for 33 years.

Krueger received the GAMA International Management Award each year from 1984 to 2003 and earned the GAMA Master Agency Award in 2003. He is also a member of the American College Board of Trustees, a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and a long-time member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Krueger holds master's degrees in management and financial services from The American College.
