Clear Channel Entertainment's Brian O'Connell Announced as Nominee at the 39th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards - 2004 Nominations

Clear Channel Entertainment - Music is pleased to announce that Brian O'Connell, President of CCE-Nashville has been nominated at the 39th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards for the Don Romeo Talent Buyer/Promoter Of The Year Award. This isn't the first time Mr. O'Connell will be recognized for his major achievements in the country music industry, he was nominated for the award in 2000, 2001 and won in 2002! The star-studded event will be held on May 26th at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and will broadcast live at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.

Mr. O'Connell began his career in Chicago, IL putting together tour sponsorship packages for such artists as the Beach Boys, Moody Blues, Paula Abdul, The Judds and Wynonna. In 1993 he joined Cellar Door Productions in Ft. Lauderdale, FL as marketing director and started booking country acts in local clubs. Three years later in 1996, Mr. O'Connell made the move to Washington, D.C. where he became the talent buyer for the market and in 1999 he booked his first tour, The Judds Reunion Tour. Due to his success and love for country music, Mr. O'Connell made the move to Nashville where he currently holds the title President of CCE-Nashville.

During his time at CCE he has successfully developed some of country music's top tours and acts including the Brooks and Dunn Neon Circus and Wild West Show, which was nominated for the "Most Creative Tour Package" in 2001 by Pollstar. In 2003, Mr. O'Connell booked and developed the top country tours including Tim McGraw One Band Show, Toby Keith Shock'n Y'all, Brooks and Dunn Neon Circus and Wild West Show Vol. 3, Alabama Farewell Tour and Kenny Chesney Margaritas and Senioritas. As acknowledgement for these major accomplishments, Mr. O'Connell was nominated Pollstar's Talent Buyer of the Year in 2003 and 2004 and received the ACM award in 2002.

As in the past, 2004 promises to be another successful year for Brian O'Connell with the continuation of such tours as Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Alabama Farewell Tour Extension, Brooks and Dunn Red Dirt Road Tour and Kenny Chesney.
