CTIA Wireless 2004

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 2004

Moving forward in lockstep with the rapidly evolving capabilities of cellular phones and other mobile devices, BVRP Software here at CTIA Wireless 2004 announced new Mobile PhoneTools version 3.0 featuring video editing. Mobile PhoneTools is Windows software that installs on a desktop or laptop and connects it to mobile devices via Bluetooth, infrared, USB or serial cable, allowing users to manage their handheld's data and files on their computer.

The best-selling and most advanced cell phone management software in the world, version 3.0 of Mobile PhoneTools builds on successful innovations introduced in earlier versions. The existing Multimedia Studio, which lets users edit pictures to use as wallpaper and screen savers on their mobile phone, as well as create, import and edit audio files for use as ringtones (WAV, mp3 and MIDI formats), has been upgraded to include a suite of tools for video editing. As camera phones with video capabilities proliferate in the marketplace, Mobile PhoneTools offers the ability to edit video recorded with a mobile phone on a desktop or laptop computer. Mobile PhoneTools supports all of the major mobile video file formats, including mpeg4, 3GPP and Nancy. In addition, the Multimedia Studio's existing Music studio, Image studio and MMS studio have been enhanced with more advanced editing features, pre-designed templates and a simpler user interface.

"The more functionality and information contained in a mobile device, the more valuable it becomes to connect that device to a computer," explains David Wright, BVRP vice president of OEM operations. "As mobile phones continue to acquire new features and capabilities, Mobile PhoneTools will continue to evolve, keeping pace with innovation and offering users new and better ways of getting the most from their mobile devices."

Also new in Mobile PhoneTools 3.0 is an enhanced dual-pane interface that shows side-by-side views of the file directories of the computer and phone, allowing drag-and-drop of images, sounds and other files between the two. This new addition makes using a mobile phone as a file storage and transport device fast and simple.

Mobile PhoneTools can also turn any cellular phone or Web-enabled mobile device into a modem for users' laptops, ensuring "anywhere access" to the Internet via the CDMA/1xRTT or GSM/GPRS networks. In addition to CDMA and GSM, Mobile PhoneTools 3.0 also supports next-generation 3G-UMTS and WCDMA networks, ensuring continued compatibility for many years.

Developed for and tested on all versions of the Windows OS, including 98 SE, ME, 2000, NT 4.0 and XP, Mobile PhoneTools supports MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Exchange Server and Lotus Notes for all contact, calendar and task events and also includes its own contact, calendar and tasks application. Mobile PhoneTools also supports 20 languages including Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Mobile PhoneTools 3.0 is available to OEM customers now, and will be available to end users beginning in April 2004 at a retail price of $59.99. For further information regarding OEM sales, please contact David Wright at dwright@bvrpusa.com.
