Airborne Entertainment Brings Hit PC Simulation Game to Verizon
Wireless Get It Now Customers
It's time to hit the slopes, and skiers aren't allowed. Activision Value Publishing, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI), has partnered with Airborne Entertainment to produce Snowboard Park Tycoon, a radical simulation game that challenges mobile gamers to become king of the mountain.
In Snowboard Park Tycoon, players don't just ride the hill, they also build it, constructing and managing their very own snowboard resort from the bottom up. The game's wealth of customizable features makes it the most advanced resource management simulation on mobile. Players experience the radical ups and downs of the business world as they manage food and beverage stands, lounges, first aid stations, chair lifts and pro shops, all while strategically arranging 15 different park pieces including half-pipes, rails, rock jumps, foot ramps and benches. But building the park is only half the fun. Players can also follow their favorite snowboarder throughout his day with "Camera View," as he flips, twists and thrashes his way down the side of one of three different mountains.
Snowboard Park Tycoon is currently available to Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers for $1.99 monthly access or $5.99 for unlimited use purchase.
"We say that this game will make mountains out of mobile," said Airborne CEO Garner Bornstein. "Snowboard Park Tycoon rises high above all other wireless simulation games. It's as exhilarating as a run down the half-pipe, and as radical as a boardslide down a dragon rail. Or at least my kids tell me it is..."
"We are very excited to take this popular franchise to the mobile gaming community," stated Brian Johnson, Director of OEM & Alternative Channels, Activision Value. "Snowboard Park Tycoon takes off from our highly successful PC version by putting players on the slopes to manage and build their investment while focusing on one of the hottest consumer trends, snowboarding."
Snowboard Park Tycoon is the first of many exciting collaborations between Activision Value and Airborne. Other Activision Value titles making the move to the mobile gaming space include Tough Trucks(TM), Skateboard Park Tycoon and Cruise Ship Tycoon. These proven successes in the PC CD-ROM game category will deliver an exceptionally rich and exciting game play experience to mobile users. Skateboard Park Tycoon and Cruise Ship Tycoon raise the simulation game category to the next level, while the customization aspect of Tough Trucks(TM) makes this racing game truly unique.
