"Organizations of all sizes rank security as their number-one priority, because most have witnessed first hand the damaging effects of worms, viruses, denial-of-service attacks or misuse of the network by insiders," said John Roese, chief technology officer, Enterasys Networks. "Our Secure Networks strategy enables organizations to take a proactive approach to security by embedding networking technologies directly into the network infrastructure. The Enterasys/Radware partnership extends our Secure Networks offerings by delivering a highly scalable, integrated intrusion defense solution that monitors high volumes of traffic in real time. We're pleased to welcome another market leader into our Secure Networks Certified Partner Program."
The Enterasys/Radware solution addresses the growing demands of enterprise customers seeking to protect against a wide variety of threats from both outside and inside the network. By certifying interoperability between Enterasys' Dragon IDS Network Sensor and Radware's FireProof security application switch, customers can benefit from cost-effective load balancing of intrusion detection systems (IDS) that continually scan for attacks at Gigabit speeds, while maintaining the uninterrupted integrity of the network.
"The joint Radware/Enterasys solution delivers full availability, high performance and scalability for real-time intrusion protection, blocking malicious attack signatures at Gigabit speeds for unrivalled scanning throughputs," said Amir Peles, CTO, Radware. "While aggregating traffic across network segments, we enable cost-effective IDS deployment for networks of all sizes."
Enterasys' Secure Networks Certified Partner Program
Enterasys formed the Secure Networks Certified Partner Program to ensure the seamless integration of best-of-breed security technology and services for customers. The program delivers a powerful capability to offer enterprises common solution architectures for Secure Networks by combining technologies and best practices. Enterasys qualifies, tests and certifies interoperability and makes recommendations for best-practices implementations. The company works closely with its partners to solve the complex challenges of increasing the security level of customers' multi-vendor networking environments.
The program implements a proactive, best-practice response to the network infrastructure as a comprehensive integration point for all security intelligence and capability. Products are certified within Enterasys' Secure Networks framework, proactively identifying and addressing the realities of a multi-vendor, multi-product network environment. The program focuses on certifying the interoperability of the most common security point products implemented today, including antivirus, firewall, virtual private networking, and intrusion defense and vulnerability assessment functionality. In combination with the advanced security features in Enterasys' product portfolio, the SNCPP program makes a significantly progressive and agile set of solutions available to customers globally. > Enterasys' Secure Networks StrategyEnterasys' Secure Networks represent a "new way of networking" for enterprise customers. The embedded technology in Enterasys' ASICs, firmware and application software allows the network to play an active role in securing customers' IT infrastructures. These features include centralized policy-based networking, automated network management and advanced user authentication. As embedded features that are ubiquitous across the Enterasys product family and complement already-deployed security appliances, they allow customers to build an entire Secure Network--or significantly enhance the security of currently installed multi-vendor networks--without the need to replace the existing infrastructure.
