Premier Selects Agfa for PACS; Agfa granted a multi-source contract award for PACS solutions including Agfa IMPAX hardware, software, professional services and service maintenance

Agfa today announced that the group purchasing division of Premier Inc. granted a contract award to Agfa's Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) solution. This three year multi-source contract - which encompasses Agfa's entire line of IMPAX(R) hardware, software, professional services and service maintenance, will be available to Premier's almost 1,500 member hospitals and affiliated imaging center alternate sites. Premier members' estimated annual PACS purchases are $100M.

The IMPAX offering includes intelligent image and information management solutions to display images and information from across the enterprise on a single desktop. Agfa offers solutions for Radiology and Cardiology; as well as a multitude of distribution, reporting, and storage solutions that help to connect and manage the clinical workflow plus share data and resources.
Since receiving a Premier group purchasing award in 1995, Agfa has provided member hospitals and affiliated alternate sites with market-leading solutions and services to enhance the delivery of patient care. In addition to today's announcement, Agfa was recently awarded contracts with Premier, Inc. for film, imagers and Computed Radiology solutions.
