Nets Leading IT Media Company a Stevie(TM)
Information technology (IT) media company TechTarget announced today that TechTarget's Client Consulting Services team was named "Best Customer Service Team" in the second annual American Business Awards, held this week in New York City.
Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (September 22, 2002), The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. Nicknamed the Stevies(TM) for the Greek word "crowned," winners were announced May 10 during the American Business Awards ceremony at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. The ceremonies were videocast live on the Internet and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
More than 800 nominations from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service and Best Customer Service Team. TechTarget's Client Consulting Services Department was among nine companies, including Ameritrade Holding Corp., Fidelity Information Services, and Sprint, selected as finalists in the Best Customer Service Team category.
The TechTarget Client Consulting Services department functions as an in-house agency for TechTarget clients, working to ensure the performance and ROI of client advertising campaigns in TechTarget media. Client Consulting Services provides strategic guidance on campaign creative and media selection, tracks results, and measures performance against goal. The ROI-focused programs and consulting services developed by Client Consulting Services have helped the company gain new advertisers, increase client satisfaction and spending, and enabled TechTarget to become the fastest growing company in IT media.
In accepting the Stevie for Best Customer Service Team, TechTarget Client Consulting Services vice president Marilou Barsam said, "It is an honor to be recognized for our dedication to TechTarget's clients. Our unique commitment to helping them achieve the best ROI on their advertising investment with TechTarget is a direct extension of TechTarget's customer-focused culture. So I'd also like to recognize all the other departments at TechTarget, whose own contributions have helped us ensure the highest client satisfaction possible."
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the finalists. The Board includes business luminaries such as Rich Karlgaard, publisher of Forbes, Bruce Nelson, chairman & CEO of Office Depot, marketing gurus Don Peppers and Martha Rogers, author and business guru Tom Peters, Anthony Robbins, Chairman & CEO of The Anthony Robbins Companies, Drew Schutte, publisher of Wired Magazine, Jeffrey Tarr, president of Hoover's Inc., and Donald Trump, chairman, president and CEO of The Trump Organization. Finalists were selected by business professionals nationwide during judging earlier this year.
