LAKE MARY, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2004

New Alliance Will Provide Funding for Student Programs through

The Foundation for Seminole County Schools - In Exchange for

Student Commitment to Local Volunteerism

Kinetics, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise and self-service technology to today's travel industry, will announce a new and very unique community service partnership with the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, Inc. This new partnership will provide a significant level of annual funding for the development of primary and secondary school programs that are primarily aimed at technology-related education.

However, in contrast to most private educational assistance programs, the Kinetics Community Service Initiative will call for students who benefit from this new funding stream to commit to a pre-determined number of hours of volunteer time for local nonprofit organizations - an approach to local education funding efforts that may be the first-ever initiative of its kind among all such organizations in the United States.

Kinetics' investment in the Seminole County Public Schools system is part of a larger effort to create a new nonprofit entity committed to youth development called Touch Your World, Inc. (http://www.touchyourworld.org). Touch Your World will provide additional funding to private schools and other local youth organizations to assist them in furthering their efforts with children and youth groups who need additional financial resources. Youth programs funded under the Touch Your World umbrella would also be asked to commit to a pre-determined number of hours of local community service.

The kickoff event to announce the Kinetics-Seminole County Public Schools alliance and the formation of Touch Your World will occur this Saturday, May 15, at Oval Park in Heathrow, just north of the AAA National Headquarters building, with a First Annual Corporate Volleyball Championship. Touch Your World, Inc., a new nonprofit organization founded by Kinetics to provide funding for youth all around Seminole County, will be sponsoring the Volleyball Challenge, and some two dozen or more corporate-sponsored teams will participate in the day-long event. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and participate in all raffles.

Dr. Bill Vogel, Superintendent of the Seminole County Public Schools, said, "We are absolutely delighted to form this new alliance between Kinetics and our school system. The funding Kinetics provides will help continue to make Seminole County Schools a great place for children to learn and grow and to better prepare them for the increasingly complex and competitive world in which they will enter."

David Melnik, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kinetics, said, "This unique approach to private support of public school initiatives, combined with student commitments to 'pay back' this support with a dedication of time and talent to local nonprofit groups, benefits everyone - Seminole County Public Schools, the students, their families and the community at large. I challenge every company in Seminole County that has the resources to do so to invest in today's generation of youth and to use the model we devised to help students benefit not just from the funding they receive, but also from the enormous gratification and personal growth that comes from helping others in their community."

Dozens of prizes will be given away via raffles during the volleyball play by more than two dozen corporate teams, with grand prizes including free dial-up Internet service by local telecommunications carrier FDN Communications and two sets of AirTran Airways roundtrip tickets that can be used anywhere AirTran Airways flies in the continental United States.
