This specialization recognizes GTP as having the technical training and expertise required to design, install, and support comprehensive network security solutions based on the entire Cisco suite of security products.

To achieve the specialization, select GTP account managers, system engineers and field engineers were required to undergo rigorous training and exams in areas such as Perimeter Security, VPN, Identity Management, Intrusion Protection and Security Management. The specialization also required GTP security engineers to hold Cisco Certified Design Associate and Cisco Certified Security Professional certifications.
