Camstar Expands Marketing and Sales Team

Camstar Systems Inc., a leading provider of enterprise manufacturing performance management systems for life sciences, semiconductor, electronics and other global industrial manufacturers, announced today the addition of two senior managers to its marketing and sales team. Mark Gonia will join the team as senior director of sales for electronics and semiconductor markets, and Manash Chakraborty will serve as Camstar's senior director of business development.

Gonia has more than 26 years of experience working for high technology companies. Prior to joining Camstar, Gonia worked at Promis Systems Corporation, most recently in the Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) space. He has held various positions at Promis Systems, including vice president of sales for the Americas before and after the company merged with PRI Automation. He helped to grow Promis Systems from less than $1 million in revenues to a $38-million division of PRI Automation. Gonia holds a Bachelors of Science from Gonzaga University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Chakraborty has more than 16 years of experience in marketing, sales consulting, business development and partner management in enterprise applications for the manufacturing industry. Prior to joining Camstar, Chakraborty was senior director of industry marketing at NexPrise. There he was one of the early members of the team responsible for building the company from initial funding to a 120-person organization, serving more than 30 Fortune 500 customers. Prior to joining NexPrise, Chakraborty pursued new markets and opportunities in Europe and Asia-Pacific in his role as Tecnomatix's director of global business development. Chakraborty also has held key industry marketing and business development roles at Valisys Corporation (later acquired by Tecnomatix) and IBM - Europe. Chakraborty earned a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from BITS in Mesra, India, and a Masters of Science in Operations Research from the Florida Institute of Technology. Additionally, he holds a Masters of Business Administration from IIT in Kharagpur, India.
