SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 2004

MarketWatch.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:MKTW), a leading multimedia publisher of business news and provider of financial information and analytical tools, announced today that it has launched "Herb Greenberg's RealityCheck," a new subscription product available through the Company's award-winning business news Web site, CBS MarketWatch.

"Herb Greenberg's RealityCheck" is written by veteran financial journalist Herb Greenberg, known nationwide for his aggressive, cutting-edge reporting. Greenberg was among the first to spot trouble at such companies as EDS, Tyco, Planet Hollywood, WorldCom and Nautilus in recent years.

"Herb Greenberg's RealityCheck" will primarily provide early warning of problems at public companies of potential concern to investors, but will also cover some positive stories about companies before they get discovered. The product is available for an introductory annual subscription fee of $249 through June 30 at cbs.marketwatch.com/herb. After June 30, the annual price becomes $299.

"Since joining CBS MarketWatch in April, Herb's free columns have consistently been among the most popular with our audience," said David Callaway, editor-in-chief of CBS MarketWatch. "Those readers will now have access to additional content from Herb that professional investors and money managers used to pay as much as $30,000 to get."

"This product is the perfect complement to my free column," said Herb Greenberg. "Subscribers will have access to everything that I write for CBS MarketWatch, including breaking news alerts that I'll send the minute I find something I know they'll want to see."

Greenberg will continue to write his free column for the CBS MarketWatch Web site, as well as make regular appearances on the MarketWatch.com Radio Network and CBS MarketWatch Weekend television show.
