ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2004

e-gatematrix, the creator of integrated supply chain management solutions for airline above-the-wing products and services and a division of Gate Gourmet, today announced that the company will use Procuri's strategic sourcing solutions across e-gatematrix's global sourcing organization. With over 30,000 purchase orders per month and over 100 caterers in North America, Europe and Asia, e-gatematrix will use Procuri's solutions to maximize the value-to-cost ratio of individual products and services.

e-gatematrix manages sourcing, procurement and logistics for the above-the-wing products and services of its customers and is the strategic supply chain management arm of the Gate Gourmet Group. In these roles, e-gatematrix is responsible for the global sourcing of over 20,000 SKUs. The company's procurement experts will add Procuri's solutions to its technology mix in order to better negotiate, collaborate and contract for food, beverage, disposables, passenger comfort items and equipment, as well as for services such as catering and cabin cleaning.

"Our customers see the value that we are able to create by leveraging our global purchasing volumes to gain lower costs. Procuri's solutions will help us maximize these benefits for our customers while also reducing our sourcing time," said Dominic Troilo, Vice President Supply Chain Management at e-gatematrix. "We evaluated many sourcing vendors and products on the market before choosing Procuri for its functionality and ability to meet our global needs."

e-gatematrix, like nearly all of Procuri's customers, will use Procuri's solutions for managing both its direct and indirect spend categories including materials and services. e-gatematrix sees sourcing solutions as a strategic way to source almost all spend categories and will use Procuri's solutions to help them deliver better products at better prices to its customers.

"By fine-tuning its supply chain process, e-gatematrix is able to pass its increased efficiencies to its customers, allowing them to focus on their core business. The increased economic and operational pressures of the airline industry led e-gatematrix to select a solution that not only provides a quick return on investment, but also a significant cost and time savings. We are excited to be its sole provider of sourcing solutions," said Mark F. Morel, Sr., Procuri's president and chief executive officer.
