LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2004
Sarvega-CA Partnership Offers Customers Unmatched Integration of
Security and Management
Sarvega, Inc., the leading provider of high-performance XML networking solutions, announced today the integration of its XML Guardian(TM) Gateway with Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) from Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA), providing customers a comprehensive solution for processing, securing and managing XML-based Web Services. Using CA's new WSDM 3.1 Observer Development Kit (ODK), integration between the two products will deliver native Web services management capabilities from within the XML Guardian Gateway.
"Web services are an increasingly popular and powerful way for business systems to connect and communicate, but it is critical that they be managed and secured effectively," said Dmitri Tcherevik, vice president of Web services at CA. "The integration of Sarvega's XML Guardian Security Gateway and Accelerator products with CA's WSDM solutions equips customers of all sizes with an end-to-end solution for developing, deploying, monitoring and managing their XML-based Web services for maximum ROI."
CA's WSDM is a comprehensive solution for managing Web services across services-oriented architectures. It is the first solution to support ad-hoc XML, CORBA, EDI and other types of SOA in addition to Web services. By leveraging CA's acclaimed Unicenter technology, it uniquely enables customers to manage their next-generation services and their legacy infrastructure from a common management console.
CA's WSDM 3.1 ODK is a comprehensive toolkit that enables third parties such as Sarvega to integrate their products with CA's industry-leading Web services management solutions. Sarvega's integration with CA's WSDM will allow enterprises to more effectively manage Sarvega's XML Guardian Gateway and Accelerator to deliver end-to-end Web services security and management as well as protect against XML-based content attacks.
Sarvega's XML Guardian Gateway enables its customers to secure and protect mission-critical XML Web services traffic in a reliable, high-performance appliance solution. Built with its distinctive "Security DNA," it provides standards-based Authentication, Authorization and Auditing (AAA), protects against internal and external XML Web services threats and simplifies deployment with an easy-to-use, wizard-based "configure once, deploy anywhere" console. Sarvega's industry-leading XML Speedway(TM) Accelerator delivers wire-speed XML processing, including XSLT transformation and schema validation.
Sarvega's appliances are powered by Sarvega's patent pending XML EventStream(TM) Operating System (XESOS(TM)) technology, which provides high performance and reliability without proprietary hardware technology. Additionally, they have an Intel hardware platform base that delivers high performance without the increased cost and vendor reliance of proprietary hardware-based solutions.
"Web services are now being deployed by a growing number of enterprises here and abroad, as well as by new vertical markets. The comprehensive management capabilities resulting from integration with powerful solutions such as CA's WSDM are very important to our customers," said Girish Juneja, co-founder and senior vice president of product management for Sarvega. "Further, by using CA's new WSDM 3.1 ODK, this integration was easily completed, and will enable Sarvega to increasingly leverage the Unicenter product line."
Additionally, Sarvega announced that its XML Guardian and Speedway products have been certified ca smart with CA's Unicenter Network and Systems Management (NSM) - a powerful solution for managing the availability and performance of operating systems and infrastructure elements to deliver an efficient and responsive on-demand computing environment. Sarvega is one of the first XML networking companies to have solutions certified ca smart with Unicenter NSM. The ca smart seal of excellence is awarded to solutions that integrate seamlessly with CA products, enabling customers to take advantage of best-in-class enterprise technologies while minimizing cost, time-to-benefit and risk.
