NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 2004

The June 2004 issue of Guideposts magazine features a cover story by singer/dancer/actress and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth. Listening to her little inner voice has led this star with a big singing voice to another great Broadway role and another Tony Award nomination for her performance in the hit musical Wicked, a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. She tells how hope, happiness, and believing in yourself are the best talents anyone can have.

In addition to Kristin Chenoweth's personal story, Guideposts June 2004 issue celebrates the talents and features the stories of the winners from this year's annual Young Writers Contest, one of the largest student writing competitions in America. Again this year, Guideposts awarded over $35,000 in scholarships to 20 winners, runners-up, and honorable mentions from among 10,000+ entries received from high school age students around the country. The 2004 1st prize went to Rae Lynn Smith of Hilmar, CA. for her story: The Other Side of Rejection. The Young Writers Contest has been a part of Guideposts since 1964.

Stories by the CEO of World Wide Technology about "Doing Business by the Good Book," a Colorado woman cyclist breaking through the pain of Fibromyalgia, the lawyer who runs the legal aid clinic at Detroit's Salvation Army office, a father who rescues his wife and daughter from their submerged car, an Ohio woman whose service dog has a remarkable life-saving talent, and more, help round out Guideposts' June issue.
