Gibraltar Names Ken Houseknecht Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations

Gibraltar (Nasdaq: ROCK) today announced that it has named Ken Houseknecht Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations, effective immediately.
Houseknecht, 46, had been Director of Investor Relations since joining Gibraltar in 1996. He began working with the company in 1993 as a part of the team working on Gibraltar's initial public offering.
During his more than 20-year career in investor and public relations, Houseknecht has worked with a number of publicly traded companies. He has also managed public relations, media relations, internal communication, and corporate communication programs for a wide range of organizations and companies, on both the corporate and agency sides of the business.
Houseknecht is an active member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and he was elected Founding President of NIRI's Virtual Chapter in 2003. He is also an active and accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), where he is a former board member of the Buffalo/Niagara Chapter of the PRSA.
He is past president of the Mental Health Association of Erie County, past president of the Foundation of the Mental Health Association of Erie County, and a former Executive Committee member of the Better Business Bureau of Western New York (where he chaired the public relations and marketing committee). For seven years (1995-2002), he chaired the Fundraising Committee for Compeer of Greater Buffalo, helping to raise nearly $300,000 for that organization.
Houseknecht received his bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from Canisius College.
He and his wife, Diana, live in Hamburg with their three children, Julia, Alaina, and Caleb.
