LANDesk(R) Software, a leader in integrated desktop, server and mobile device management software, today announced new integration components for leading enterprise help desk solutions and popular management frameworks, enabling customers to leverage data and capabilities in LANDesk(R) Management Suite to enhance IT support and network administration.
These new connectors enable integration with help desk applications from Peregrine Service Center(a) and Remedy Help Desk(a), allowing administrators to quickly resolve IT issues from within the same console. Further, network administrators can harness powerful inventory data within LANDesk Management Suite through the most common management frameworks, including HP OpenView(a) and IBM Tivoli(a).
Traditionally framework users have had difficulty accessing information at the desktop level, but with these new connectors, the most useful management functions in LANDesk Management Suite are easily accessed in a single mouse click. This reduces the overall cost of administering and supporting enterprise systems by streamlining management activities, minimizing training needs for multiple management products and providing a more holistic view of IT resources and usage.

Understanding the cause of the issue, administrators can then use LANDesk to remotely control desktop systems and to transfer necessary files to the PC. The result is faster issue resolution with minimal disruption to end-users and business processes.
Similarly, the LANDesk connectors give management framework users more detailed information about desktop systems than general management framework solutions can provide. This additional information facilitates rapid diagnosis of network problems from within the traditional administrator environment, saving time, minimizing training and increasing productivity.
