Santa Clara University to Host National Networking Seminar for Women in Business on May 8; Scholarship to Be Awarded to Leavey School of Business MBA Student

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2004

Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business will host a national seminar for women in business on Saturday, May 8, entitled "Redefining the Game," an all-day program for women who are working professionals or students.

"MBA graduates, and especially women MBA graduates, have important new opportunities," said Barry Posner, business school dean and co-author of the award-winning and best-selling leadership book: The Leadership Challenge: How to Keep Getting Extraordinary Things Done in Organizations.

The all-day May 8 seminar, organized by the University's Women in Business Network, will be presented by the Committee of 200 (C200), an elite national group of women business leaders, at the University's Benson Memorial Center. It is just one of two of C200s MBA-level seminars in the U.S. this year.

The keynote speaker at 9 a.m. will be Mindy Meads, president and CEO of Lands End, Inc. The 2 p.m. keynote speaker will be Sheila Cluff, owner of two Palm Springs spas, and president and founder of Fitness, Inc, Fit Two, and Health Holidays, Inc.

This seminar will feature panelists from around the globe as well as speakers from C200. At the luncheon, a $25,000 scholarship will be awarded to an MBA student at the Leavey School of Business.
