Trendium and Siemens Host VoIP Service Management Demo at the Fall CompTel/ASCENT Show; Trendium Chairs Track Sessions on Service Management
Business Wire, Nov 1, 2004
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Trendium announced today that it will demo its award-winning ServicePATH(R) VoIP Performance and Service Management products in conjunction with the Siemens(R) (NYSE:SI) SURPASS(R) hiQ 8000 Internet Protocol (IP) switching and service delivery platform at the IPCC Booth #717, at the CompTel/ASCENT Fall Convention & Expo, October 31 - November 2 in Orlando. The demo will show carriers and SPs of all types how they can monitor, manage and accurately report on their VoIP service, application and service performance in real-time, going beyond traditional fault management to predict problems before they occur.
"VoIP networks are finally being developed on a widespread basis; however, the five 9s availability that we became accustomed to from the public switched telephone network remains illusive," said Dr. Hanafy Meleis, President and CEO of Trendium. "This service level will not be consistently attainable until networks become application aware and employ true service intelligence. We look forward to showing service providers how this can be consistently accomplished at CompTel/ASCENT show."
ServicePATH is a sophisticated, plug-and-play service intelligence system that can collect and synthesize data from networks, applications/business processes and OSS. This synthesized data model is then used to assess and assure service delivery in real-time. The system identifies anomalies as they occur, pinpointing their cause and analyzing their effects on services and the business. Furthermore, ServicePATH can automatically initiate corrective actions to ensure optimum service delivery and customer satisfaction. The ServicePATH service intelligence system has been designed to help manage and assure any type of service, offering complete service and technology agility.
"To drive profitable revenues with VoIP, service providers need not only technology, but tools to manage the end-to-end network and trusted integrators to deploy applications that remove communication chaos," said Harald Braun, President of Siemens Carrier Networks, a division of Siemens Communications, Inc. "We are pleased to be at CompTel/ASCENT, demonstrating these types of real-time VoIP solutions with Trendium."
Trendium will Chair the following panel session on Tuesday, November 2, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the show:

"We are pleased to assist the IPCC by Chairing these educational sessions on Service Management at CompTel/ASCENT," said Dr. Meleis.
