Add-Vantage Consulting Group adds Outsourced Marketing & PR Services to Its Offerings

Business Wire, Nov 10, 2004

MEDFIELD, Mass. -- New Division Specializes in High Technology Companies

Add-Vantage Consulting Group, Inc., today announced it has expanded its strategic business model to include outsourced marketing, marketing communications, and public relations services. The new offering includes product positioning and messaging, product launch design and implementation, marketing communications and public relations counsel and support.

The two marketing services directors, Paula Crerar and Nancy Pieretti, are focusing efforts on offering marketing services to companies interested in outsourcing marketing rather than staffing the marketing function via hiring.

"In today's highly competitive environment, most companies require effective, professional marketing programs but are hesitant to add permanent company resources," said Paula Crerar, director, Add-Vantage. "We bring a high level of expertise that can be directed and utilized by our clients for a limited period of time. We see this as a common sense alternative to hiring permanent marketing staff. This is a win for our clients who are looking for fast and efficient marketing support with maximum flexibility."

Both Crerar and Pieretti have strong and complementary backgrounds in high technology and start-up businesses.

Ms. Crerar has over 10 years of high tech marketing experience. She has successfully launched award-winning enterprise and retail software applications for Lotus Development Corp. and Dragon Systems. Ms. Crerar developed technology partnerships with Texas Instruments, Palm Inc., and Sony Corporation. She held senior marketing positions in the telecommunications industry at iBasis, Octave Communications, and Voyant Technologies. At Octave, she created marketing programs to elevate the company as a thought leader in its field, and was instrumental in gaining a top US carrier as a new customer. Crerar holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College's School of Management and an MBA from Babson's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

Ms. Pieretti has held senior positions at start-up corporations that have evolved into market leaders and public companies. She spent five years internally managing the marketing communications and PR functions for GeoTel Communications. At GeoTel she was responsible for transitioning the PR messages from start-up to public company during the company's post-IPO phase until the company was acquired by Cisco Systems. She also provided in-house PR and marketing communications counsel at Manchester, NH-based CODA Incorporated. Additionally, she developed and executed the PR component at Octave Communications in support of that privately held software company's goal of an acquisition. The public relations program helped transform Octave from a little-known bridge provider to among the top in mind share in its space, while maintaining a positive image for the company as a successful venture during the telecommunications downturn.
