Scott Butler is Elected President Of CUH2A; Architectural Engineer To Serve as President of Leading AEP Firm Dedicated to Science and Technology

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Scott Butler, PE, has been elected president of CUH2A, the world's largest professional services and design firm dedicated to facilities solutions for science and technology. Jeffrey T. Dayton, AIA, was re-elected to the Board of Directors and Brian Kowalchuk, AIA, was elected to the Board. A privately held company, CUH2A is owned by 27 principals who review and fine-tune its leadership through an election process held every three years. CUH2A's leaders are committed to ensuring that the firm continues to adapt in order to maintain its premier position within this highly competitive industry.

Scott has over 20 years of experience in project management, strategic facilities planning, and engineering design. He specializes in developing strategic planning solutions that incorporate a company's specific business goals, working with a wide variety of corporations and institutions to develop global strategies for facility growth and management. Scott has established long-term relationships with a variety of industry leaders through his management, planning and design efforts for clients, including Pfizer, Inc., The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Genentech Inc., and Boston University. Scott is currently leading CUH2A's design team on the Boston University Medical Center's National Biocontainment Laboratory in Boston.

Dayton Re-Elected and Kowalchuk Elected to Board of Directors

In addition to the president, CUH2A's leadership is comprised of six at-large members who serve as the Board of Directors. Elected in staggered terms, Board members serve for three years.

Dayton, who was re-elected to the Board of Directors, is the managing director of CUH2A's Princeton office. With more than 22 years of diversified design and project management experience, he monitors projects to ensure that goals for cost, schedule and quality are accomplished. He has overseen the design of state-of-the-art research facilities for higher education and corporate clients, including AT&T Research & Development, Eli Lilly and Company, Merrill Lynch, Procter & Gamble Company, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of California - Davis and the University of Connecticut.

Kowalchuk is a principal and director of design at CUH2A. For over 20 years, he has collaborated with scientists and researchers to develop innovative architectural responses that cultivate scientific discovery. Kowalchuk recently began work on a multi-disciplinary research facility for Genentech in San Francisco. He has maintained a long relationship with Pfizer, designing facilities and research campuses in the U.S., U.K., France, and Japan. Other international clients include Orgamol, a fine chemicals company in Evvianaz, Switzerland; Unilever in Liverpool, U.K.; and Lyon Parc de Science, in Lyon, France. Stateside, Kowalchuk is working with Procter & Gamble to translate the company's new branding initiative and forward-thinking business culture into a three-dimensional symbol of its vision for the future.
