St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School Selects UNICCO for Janitorial Services
Business Wire, Nov 17, 2004
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School has selected UNICCO(R) Service Company, one of North America's largest integrated facilities services outsourcing companies, to provide janitorial services for its three campuses. The college preparatory K-12 Episcopal Church School awarded UNICCO a three-year contract.
"We submitted our janitorial contract to a periodic bid process," commented Beth Chase, St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School business manager. "We were impressed with UNICCO's responsiveness, their willingness to introduce new technologies and processes, and the environmental move to green cleaning. We are also pleased with the training and support that UNICCO will give to the staff."
UNICCO will introduce several innovations over the course of the contract. It will begin to implement green cleaning procedures and equipment to lessen the impact of the cleaning process on the environment. It will also bring in its UNI-Q(R) inspection system that uses PDAs (Personal Data Assistants) to record and report onsite inspections. This will be coupled with the myUNICCO.com management portal that provides timely reports on projects.
"St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is an important new account for UNICCO as we expand in Virginia," said David Giamichael, UNICCO vice president, operations. "We have a great offering for independent schools in the area and look forward to working with the administration to demonstrate how they can implement innovative, environmentally friendly janitorial programs."
