Business Wire, Nov 2, 2004

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Presentation Focuses on Integrating CRM and Billing Systems to Deliver Maximum Customer Value

Portal Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:PRSF) and Siebel Systems (Nasdaq: SEBL) today announced that Charles Coppage, Portal Software's director of business development for VoIP solutions and Rich Caballero, director of product marketing for Siebel Communications & Media, will be speaking on "Maximizing Best of Breed Billing and CRM Solutions to Capitalize on the VoIP Opportunity" at this year's Telestrategies VoIP World Conference. VoIP World will be held November 10-12 at the Hyatt Dulles in Herndon, Virginia, near Washington D.C.

VoIP enables service providers to bundle services such as content, collaboration, IM and unified messaging to meet a diverse set of customer needs. The need to price, rate and bill these services based on value, different usage measurements, quality of service, and service level agreements drives the need for tight and efficient product catalog integrations between front and back office systems. Coppage and Caballero will discuss how service providers can achieve the advanced level of customer understanding and sophisticated billing strategies necessary to deliver these new tailored services to customers. In addition, their presentation will reveal how to build solutions that interoperate with CRM and legacy billing systems to ensure the highest level of business agility and customer service possible.

Coppage and Caballero will be speaking on Thursday, November 11 from 2:30pm to 3:45pm as part of the Upgrading OSS/BSS for Carrier-Grade VoIP and IP Services track, which addresses migration from legacy OSS/BSS to next generation IP-based OSS/BSS. Additional information about the conference can be found at www.telestrategies.com/voip_04/
