IDT PC Clock Selected by TriGem Computer; Leading Korean PC Manufacturer Harnesses IDT Timing Technology for its Kloss Personal Computers

Business Wire, Nov 23, 2004

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Demonstrating its continued growth in the personal computer (PC) clock market, IDT(TM) (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.)(Nasdaq:IDTI) today announced that TriGem Computer, a leading Korean PC maker, has selected an IDT PC clock (CV110) to power its new Kloss(TM) PC. The Kloss PC incorporates the Intel(TM) 915G/P PCI Express chip sets targeting high-performance PCs for both communications and multimedia applications.

IDT announced its entry into the PC clock market in September 2003. Since then, the company has evolved its initial PC clock family into a comprehensive portfolio of products serving current-generation desktop, notebook and server platforms. The company's successful transition into this market can be attributed to its expertise in timing solutions for communications systems, as PC architectures require telecommunications-like clocking technology, including support for high-speed serial I/O. As such, TriGem and other leading PC makers are benefiting from the company's ability to leverage its strong knowledge of timing technology to meet the stringent requirements of the PC clock market, including quick time to market.

"The PC industry is a highly competitive business that requires a speedy time to market for every new product," said Hyen-Ki Baek, chief engineer at TriGem Computer. "Among the many PC clock vendors we considered for this project, IDT was the first company to provide chip samples for testing. We were very satisfied with IDT's prompt response to product sample delivery, software and test-result materials, which enabled us to accomplish board design and schedule our product production efficiently to enable a strong competitive advantage."

"This win serves as a proof point of our ongoing commitment to the PC clock market and demonstrates our steady growth in this arena," said JH Lee, Korea country manager for IDT. "We are very excited about the traction we've achieved in this market to date and are pleased to have been selected for this project."
