Jefferies Adds Research and Sales Teams from Schwab Soundview; Investment Bank Hires Nine Professionals, Opens a Denver Office

NEW YORK -- Jefferies & Company, Inc., the principal operating subsidiary
of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF), today announced the hiring of nine professionals formerly of Schwab Soundview Capital Markets. Those joining Jefferies include five senior institutional salespeople, as well as the two senior equity research analysts and two senior research associates announced earlier this month. These additions further enhance the firm's strong research and sales offerings, and deepen Jefferies' overall effort to serve institutional investors.

Jefferies has opened a Denver office for three of the five new equity research salespeople, including Jeffrey Andringa, Gregory Bjork, and Jeremy Huth. These professionals will cover institutional accounts in Denver, Kansas City and Wisconsin. Additionally, Richard Bradt will be based in the firm's New York headquarters, and Gregory Weissman joins the firm's 42-person Boston office.
As previously announced, the senior equity research analysts are Howard Rubel, covering Aerospace & Defense, and Glen Santangelo, who will follow the Healthcare Distribution & Technology Sector. The senior research associates, also in Healthcare, are Charles Rhyee and Ralph Giacobbe.
With these additions, Jefferies now has 31 senior equity research analysts in the U.S. and well over 100 research professionals worldwide. Jefferies' research coverage includes nearly 1,000 companies in more than 30 industries.
