Best Buy Stores to Sell Inecom Entertainment Company's ''Civil War Minutes'' Series
Business Wire, Nov 29, 2004
PITTSBURGH -- Inecom Entertainment Company announced that Best Buy(TM) Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY) has selected all volumes of its "Civil War Minutes(TM)" series DVD box sets for sale in its stores. "Gettysburg and Stories of Valor - Civil War Minutes(TM) III," "Civil War Minutes(TM) - Confederate," and "Civil War Minutes(TM) - Union" will be available at Best Buy stores throughout the holiday season.
"Gettysburg and Stories of Valor" (the third volume in the "Civil War Minutes(TM)" series) is the latest in the series to be released. Narrated by Keith Carradine (HBO's "Deadwood" and ABC's "Complete Savages" executive produced by Mel Gibson), the entertainment-oriented documentary is the full, three-hour version of a program that began appearing on public television stations in early November. A high-definition version of the program began airing on PBS HD Channel stations nationwide on November 13th as well.
"Civil War Minutes(TM) - Confederate" features rarely told stories of both the famous and average Confederate soldiers in the Civil War. The film reveals the intimate details of the soldiers' lives in their own words, such as their weapons of choice, their uniforms and how soldiers form fellowships during the war that last throughout their lives. "Civil War Minutes(TM) - Union" also explores soldiers' everyday lives through the personal effects they carry into war - from a Union perspective.
The films feature the writing and military expertise of Michael Kraus, Military History Advisor for Miramax Films' "Cold Mountain" and Military Coordinator for New Line Cinema's film "Gettysburg."
