Cache Reports October 2004 Comparable Store Sales Increase 1%

NEW YORK -- Cache Inc., (NASDAQ: CACH), a specialty chain of women's apparel stores with 281 stores open, reported October 2004 sales figures.

Comparable Store Sales: (sales for stores open at least one year or more)

--Increased 1% during the four-week October 2004 period; and

--Increased 4% during the 43-week period ended October 23, 2004, as compared to the same period in 2003.

Total Sales:

--Increased $1.2 million, or 7.4%, to $17.5 million for the four-week October 2004 period; and

--Increased $18.4 million, or 11.0%, to $186.2 million for the 43-week period ended October 23, 2004, as compared to the same period in 2003.

Mr. Brian Woolf, Cache's Chairman commented: "October sales results were in line with our expectations. Our comparable store sales gain of 1% reflected improving trends for both our sportswear and dress assortments."

During October 2004, the Company opened five new Cache stores and one new Lillie Rubin stores. In total, the Company currently operates 281 stores, including 249 Cache and 32 Lillie Rubin locations.
