Kyocera Mita America Backs CompTIA CDIA+ Certification

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced today that Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, has joined the CompTIA CDIA advisory committee. As part of this distinction, Kyocera Mita America sales and marketing personnel, as well as selected sales representatives employed by authorized dealers, are now required to become CompTIA CDIA certified.

CompTIA CDIA certification is an internationally recognized credential, acknowledging competency and professionalism in the document imaging and management industry. Certified professionals possess the expertise to analyze business processes and design appropriate document imaging and management solutions. The CDIA exam tests knowledge mastery of scanning, storing, and output of black-and-white and color documents.

The CompTIA CDIA certification was developed in 1995 as an industry initiative to establish an independent professional standard for sales representatives. The 85-question, 90-minute CDIA certification exam underwent a complete upgrade in 2001. Increasingly, major contracts specify that bidders must have CDIA certified personnel on staff.

CompTIA urges candidates to carefully review certification objectives prior to taking the CDIA exam and to use the objectives as an effective content study guide.
