Earle M. Jorgensen Company Files Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering

LYNWOOD, Calif. -- Earle M. Jorgensen Company today announced it filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the initial public offering of its common stock. The offering will consist of shares to be offered by Earle M. Jorgensen Company.

EMJ is one of the largest independent distributors of metal products in North America with 36 service and processing centers. EMJ inventories more than 25,000 different bar, tubing, plate, and various other metal products, specializing in cold finished carbon and alloy bars, mechanical tubing, stainless bars and shapes, aluminum bars, shapes and tubes, and hot-rolled carbon and alloy bars.

Credit Suisse First Boston LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co. are acting as joint bookrunning managers for the offering, and ABN AMRO Rothschild LLC, CIBC World Markets Corp., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are acting as co-managers.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the SEC but has not yet become effective.
